4. Health Information
Your health information, including details from your prescription (eScript) token, may be shared with practitioners and pharmacies to enable care. Whether a prescription token is valid for dispensing is determined independently by the dispensing pharmacy, not by NicQuit.
5. Retention of Prescription Information
When your prescribing practitioner issues an electronic prescription (eScript), we extract the information needed from it to provide our services, including enabling repeat dispensing with our pharmacy partners. The original prescription file itself is not retained by us once this information has been extracted.
We retain this extracted prescription information for 12 months from the date your prescription was issued, in line with the standard validity period for prescriptions in Australia. After this period, the information is automatically and permanently removed from our systems. We keep only a minimal record confirming that a prescription existed and the date it was removed, with no health or contact details retained in that record.
Other account information (such as your contact and account details) is retained for as long as your account remains active with us, or as otherwise required by law.
