The Basics
What is NicQuit?

NicQuit is an online smoking cessation business based in Mandurah, Western Australia.

Why does NicQuit exist?

NicQuit exists to help Australians access holistic smoking cessation support and therapy, including NRT products, oral medications, and — where indicated — carefully selected therapeutic vaping products, through a legally compliant, streamlined and supportive process.

Our goal is to help you transition away from cigarettes as smoothly, confidently and successfully as possible.

In Western Australia, most smoking cessation products, including therapeutic vaping products, can only be legally supplied through a pharmacy and only to people who hold a valid prescription. Prescriptions can only be dispensed to adults aged 18+ who are attempting to quit smoking.

Currently within the pharmacy industry there is often a mismatch between what is prescribed and what a pharmacy is able to dispense and then support. This leads to frustration and relapse to smoking. NicQuit streamlines the connection between pharmacy and prescriber and supports the journey to quitting.

Is NicQuit a Pharmacy or a Prescriber?

No. We are a marketing and order processing organisation.

We partner with prescribers and pharmacies to streamline and support the quit smoking journey for patients Australia wide.

What sort of products can NicQuit supply?
  • Oral medications
  • Nicotine patches
  • Nicotine lozenges
  • Nicotine gums
  • Nicotine mist sprays
  • Therapeutic vapes
Is NicQuit associated with a tobacco company?

No. We have no affiliation with tobacco companies in any way.

Is NicQuit associated with the NicQuit App for smart watches or mobiles?

No. We have no affiliation with these Apps.

Getting Started and Prescriptions
How do I Get Started?

You can upload your own prescription, you can ask your GP for a prescription or you can book an appointment with our prescriber partners.

Our prescriber partners know what products we stock, what they cost and have a view of our current stock holding.

Your own GP might prescribe things we do not have. This can lead to frustration.

How do I get a prescription with your service?

Click on the Get Started or Book Now links in the menu. This will take you to our partner's clinic where you can book an appointment with one of our prescriber partners.

If they issue a prescription, they will send it to us and we will set up your account so you can purchase products online from us.

Can you supply against my own prescription?

Maybe. Send it to us via our Upload Prescription form (via the Get Started menu item).

We will advise within 1 hour if we can fill it or not.

We carry many products but cannot be certain until we see what has been prescribed.

Australian law prohibits us advertising what we can supply until we see your prescription.

Account and Membership Setup
What is the cost for a NicQuit Account and Membership?

Free.

What is the difference between an Account and a Membership?

We establish a NicQuit account for you when we have your prescription in hand.

The prescription is sent to us by our prescriber team, or you can send us your own via the Contact Us form.

Use the Book Now link to set up an appointment with one of our prescribers.

A Green Membership is granted initially. This enables you to purchase a limited products in line with your prescription(s). Pricing and stock level is displayed on the website.

Ordering and Payment
How does the ordering system work?
  1. A Member places an order through the NicQuit website.
  2. Payment is made at time of order by Credit Card or PayPal.
  3. Your order is reviewed against your prescription by the pharmacy team.
  4. Once approved, your order is dispensed.
  5. Orders can be collected in store or delivered. See below.
Can I purchase products without a prescription?

No. You need to get a prescription, which entitles you to become a Member of NicQuit, to place orders.

What happens if I have paid for products and you can not supply?

Stock out: If your order is for products in line with your prescription and we do not have stock we will issue a refund.

No prescription: If your order is for products for which you do not have a prescription we will arrange a Telehealth consultation for you. If a prescription is not forthcoming we will issue a refund.

Over Ordered: For some products there are limits to how many you can order at one time, even if your prescription has repeats on it. This often depends on your own personal situation, rather than the product. If you order more than is allowed then we will call you about it. Subject to your agreement, we will limit the order and issue a partial or full refund.
